_ SPORTS Queens Cross tops men’s hockey league ENTERING THE ninth week of play in the North Shore Men’s Hockey League, Queens Cross topped the pack of eight teams with a record of eight wins, one loss and one tie. They improved their record by winning both their games in last weekend’s action, defeating the North Shore Winterhawks 8-2, and D&B Auto Blues in a close 7-5 vic- tory. Peter Bowman scored four goals for the Cross over the weekend while John McEown replied with the hat trick for the Blues. In other action, L.A.
