THE NINTH annual Coho Festival
— that 1980 West Vancouver
community picnic that’s grown to
be a major five-day celebration for
the whole Lower Mainland —
continues in Park Royal Shopping
Centre. .

Through Sunday the malls will
feature some 25 displays related to
the many aspects of B.C.'s
precious salmon resource, the
commercial! and sport fishery, and
the coastal ecology.

They include the live federal
Fisheries and Oceans exhibit,
Capilano Power Squadron, 8.C.
Marine Parks, the B.C. Sport Fish-
ing Association, Lynn Valiev
Ecology Centre, North Vancouver
Outdoor School and a salmon art
show by North Vancouver stu-
dents. :

A special attraction through
Saturday in the south mall will be
regular performances by renown-
ed indian storyteller Leonard
George.

Also on display will be the en-
tries in the major West Vancouver
Community Arts Council-spon-
sored juried salmon art contest.

The public gets into the judging
act through the people’s choice
