Seniors launch displays

SENIORS WILL be in the limelight at Park
Royal March 27 and 28, and activities will vary from a
seniors fashion show to an arts and craft fair.

Members of the West Vancouver Seniors Activity
Centre will model apparel during the Fashion for
Seniors show Friday at 7:30 p.m, at the South Mall,
and Saturday at 2 p.m. at the North Mall.

Arts and crafts will be on display in both malls.
Exhibits include painting, calligraphy, quilting and
collections of stamps. Seniors will also demonstrate
their skilis.

“We hope to encourage older adults not engaged in
stimulating craft, musical or physical activities to visit
our centre,”’ said Fred Titcomb, coordinator of
Seniors in Action event.

Other activities will include exercise for seniors and
an over-60 chess tournament using Park Royal’s giant
wooden chess pieces at the Chess Square in the South
Mall. ;
Information on health and heip services will be
displayed by several North Shore senior service agen-
cies.
