The City Council recently accepted a recommendation of the Lower Lonsdale
Development Committee to place an advertisement in the form of a questionnaire. __
the local newspapers to invite interested persons to submit their preference for a
name for the area of the City extending from Forbes Avenue: on the west to St. —

Patricks Avenue on the east, south of Sixth Street to the waterfront, as outlined in the |
sketch below:

The recommendation of the Committee was that the arca be designated as

“PORT LONSDALE”, however other suggestions were “MOODYVILLE” and
“LOWER LONSDALE."

The Council would appreciate it if you would indicate your preference for one of
these designations, or submit’ one or more of your own by completing tbe

uestionnaire below by April 30th, 1979, and returning it to the office of the un-
dersigned.
