And it’s free through the city’s recently — approved Heritage Program. “The placement of plaques on historical buildings can be an effective way to inform res- idents and visitors to commu- nities about the significance of the buildings around them,” said city. planner Karen Russell. “In the City of North Vancouver we have over 230 buildings on the inventory zed for their architecture and history.” The plaques would contain a brief historical description of the building and, when avail- able, a historical photo of the building will also be included.
