Fred Connett celebrated his 100th birthday on April 17
at a party hosted by his family at the West Vancouver
Royal Canadian Legion and attended by over 100

quests. A Second World War veteran, Fred was born in

London, England, and emigrated on his own to Canada
at the age of 15. A West Vancouver resident since 1977,
Fred is looking forward to the year 2000, when he can
say his life spanned three centuries. Happy birthday!

Congratulations to Elizabeth (née Thompson) and
Donald Kilpatrick, who were. married on May 31, 1947,
at Chalmers United Church, Ottawa, Ontario, following
war service. Donald served throughout the Italian cam-
paign as an Officer in the Sth Medium Regiment, R.C.A.
Elizabeth served in the R.C.A.F., Women's Division. The
couple resided in Gorham, New Hampshire, and
Montreal before moving to West Vancouver in 1965.
They have three children: Susan, Robert and David,
seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Donald
and Elizabeth will celebrate their golden wedding
anniversary with friends and family. Congratulations!

children, Arlene and Marilyn, and four grandchildren:
Jamie, Lana, Ron and Jody. A family celebration will be

1992, at a beachside setting on Virgin Gorda, one of the
British Virgin Islands. Following their return home, an
open house was held for family and friends at the home
of Lisa’s parents. The couple resides in North Vancouver
with their two sons, Brendan and Justin. Happy fifth .
