After a .ce_rageous battle with
cancer. Pr-teceased by her iather
Charles; mother Evelyn; and sister
Daphne. She is survived by her sister
Margaret Sloan; her brother Glen
Caster (Myra); nieces Valerie Logan,
Vicki Steele, Jill Sloan and Stacey
Carter; nephews Terry Moore and
Dean Carter; numerous great-nieces
and nephews and their children. The
Carter family were early settlers of
the Capilano area, moving to North
Vancouver in 1922. Cynthia attend-
ed North Vancouver High School and
ip 1994 was fortunate to attend her
50th reunion. She was an intrepid
traveller, working and living all over
the world before coming home to
North Vancouver. In her seventies
Cynthia visited China, Australia and
South America. Cynthia faced her
lifelong battle with diabetes and fi-
nally cancer with dignity and
courage. Cynthia was a champion of
animal and human sights, aistiking
injustice to all. She was a dedicate
volunteer for the Nozth Shore
Women's Centre and found comfort
and friendship in the Unitarian
Churck, North Shore. The famil
wishes to thank the nurses and staff
of the Lynn Vaitey Kiwanis Care
Homes and Or. Paul Montemuro for
their kindness and support to Cyn-
thia, A memorial service will be held
Thursady, April 3, 1997 at 4:00 p.m.
at the Unitarian Church, North
