THE OFFICIAL opening of Cove
Cliff Elementary School in Deep
Cove, originally scheduled to take
place Oct. 28, has been postponed
to Nov. 27.

The new school opened Sept. 3
and has a current enrolment of
285 students.

The school replaced the Second
World War-vintage Burrard View
Community School.

Parents, schoo! and municipal
officials lobbied for years to have
the new school built.
