steamed at
treatment

A NORTH Vancouver woman is
irate at the treatment she says she
received at the hands of two
sheriff's deputies who came to
evict her last Friday morning.

“I think I have been treated ter-
ribly,”’ said single mother of two
Camilla Currie, 23, who was
evicted for non-payment of bills
from the 408 East Third St. house
she and another woman had rented
for four months.

“¥ just can’t believe they could
do this.”

Currie claims that she had
finished most of her moving when
the deputy sheriffs arrived at the
deadline of 9:30 a.m. Friday,
“kicked me out of the house by
my hair’? and would not let her
back inside to get her one-year-old
daughter, Bailey.

Her daughter was brought out,
crying and dressed only in diapers
in the chill air, soon after, but
Currie said she was still not allow-
ed back in the house to get clothes
for the youngster.

When friend Terry Eistetter then
tried to go inside to retrieve his
girlfriend's jacket, the two deputy
sheriffs allegedly threw him to the
ground and ‘stood on his knees."*
