Accepted by a professional juror the 50 new selec- tions will now join 150 other works selected by previous jurors for the popular picture loan program. The picture loan program has a double thrust — it assists emerging artists to get exposure for their work and gives the public the opportunity to rent works for their homes and offices. Offices may keep the pictures for three monihs. Average picture rental fees are $4 to $5 per month. Many of the artists who started their careers with the picture loan show over 12 years ago are now established professionals with works commanding high prices. The May 14 show runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The June 11 show, renters will get a bargain, paying two months of rent to keep the painting for three months.
