Forbes has drifted to more
defined musical destinations.

For the past two years,
with the help of a U.S.
booking agent, he has made
inroads into the American
‘folk circuit.

A year ago, microsurgery
on Bim’s eyes removed the
cataracts and thick focussing
lenses that were leading him
steadily into blindness and
Testricting his stage perfor-
mance.

A new Bim album, New
Songs For An Old Celebra-
tion, wili be released shortly.
Far from a bid for sounds
nouveau, New Songs is a
delightful and timely tribute
to Christmas.

“It started as a zany idea
to do a Christmas album,”
Bim says, ‘‘but it Teally grew
into an_ interesting experi-
ment. It’s an attempt to in-
ject some new blood into the
