Focus on parents

LIONS GATE Hospital is
following its successful Fall
Lecture/Discussion Series on
Sexual Education for Effec-
tive Parenting with a Spring
series of three programs on
the theme of Effective
Parenting and the Develop-
ment of Value Systems.

The series is part of the
continuing effort of LGH to
provide a forum for infor-
mation sharing and co-
operative action in dealing
with health aad social needs
in the community. Everyone
i welcome and admission is
free.

The programs take sine
form of a panel discussion
or speaker followed by a
question and answer period.
The programs are of par-
ticular interest to parents
and teenagers and those who
work with teenagers.

The earlier series of four
programs was well attended
and later aired on Cable 10
in North Vancouver. Copies
of the video tapes are
available on loan from the
hospital’s Education Services
and have been borrowed and
