Yhe North | Vancouver Reereation Commission, the body which oversees: North Van's reeCentres, has announced that changes in sin- gle drop-in and monthly tees will range trom a two percent decrease to an LIS increase, The most controversial aspect of the tee increase is an 12% jump tor seniors. A monthly senior fitness pass will merease from $21.50 to $24; a quarter vear pass trom $43 co S48. According to recreation commission direc- tor Gary Young, the new daily drop-in tee is more than the municipal average in B.C. but the monthly and quarterly fitness passes are still well below the B.C. average. “Our hope is people will understand that We are being taken into an era of an increased user-pay system,” Young said. “We have a very active senior population here and thar group continues to grow,” North Vancouver District, Coun.
