Cap rugby teams in tough

THE CAPILANO Rugby
Club hosted. the Vancouver
Meralomas and Rowing
Club this past weekend. at

Klahanie Park in a full slate of -

The day started off well for the
home club with the 4As smacking
the Meraloma As 36-0.

On the lower field the Cap 3rds
had little problem with the Rowers.
defeating.them 15-3.

Although the day started off
right for-Capilano, the club feil

- significantly short of the coveted

sweep.

The 4Bs, facing a scasoned
Meraloma B side, could only walk
away with a 3-3 draw.

The Capilano 2nds went down
in the last few minutes of the
game. With the score 0-0 for most
of the game, the Rowers capital-
ized on some late mistakes to win
13-8.

The feature match saw the
Rower Ist team and the Caps
square-off.

waited for a Capilano mistake, and
took full advantage, putting in sev-
eral tallys, The Rowers won 28-$5.

The North Shore club's next
home games are stated for
Saturday, Feb, 12 at Klahanie Park
(located behind Earls on Marine}.

Last Sunday. Feb. 6. the
Capilano over 40°s (Snuwcaps)
played off against Seattle.
