ade THE HOLT Renfrew fashion extravaganza at the Water- front Centre Hotei Thursday, Sept. 30 was a great success and raised more than $30,000 for Arts Umbrella. The actual show was @ liule different this year, with 12 little Kaggedy Ann dancers aged five to seven tapdancing their way across the stage. Beautiful fashions by Louis Feraud, Donna Karan, Mondi and several others were in evidence. The color of choice was black and the length was long. Hotelier Michael Kaite fed off the grande finale by walking the long ramp and modelling a tux and a rather smashing gold and red bowtie and cummerbund set, and was rewarded with whistles aplenty! He was followed by Maynard's Barry Scott, Ballet B.C.'s Rosemary Keevil, Canadian Craft Museum’s Margaret Stecley, the Vancouver Symphony’s Shirley Bidewell and Arts Umbrella's Vi- vian and David Thom. Barbara was accompanied by her handsome new husband, Yom Hayden, Jane Fonda’s cx. Joshua's proud :nuia, Fiona Jackson, tells me that Josh just wrapped Mighty Ducks 2 aad it looks like another winner. Digger is beautifully shot, the Vancouver Island scenery is gorgeous, the acting superb and the whole family can watch it together. Only one problem and that is that it’s just a little too slow.
