Shaw, May 7, to face one count of assault causing bodily harm and one count of uttering a threat over the telephone to cause injury. | By TIMOTHY RENSHAW Charges against Hanlon stemmed from an incident . that occured in the early mor- ning hours of 3 March 1985 in the Karen Magnussen Arena, 937 Lynn Valley Road. Testifying against Hanlon, plaintiff, Derek Henry Loewen, 19, told the court that he had been at the arena watching a hockey game. Loewen said that - he, Hanion, and another man had gone to the arena’s washroom together. _ Loewen testified that after returning to the stands for 10 minutes ite had again gone to the washroom, after which, Hanlon, accompanied by a small child, had approached him “‘like a crazed maniac and accused me of stealing his wallet." | The plaintiff went on to say that after Hanlon had thrown him up against a wall three or four times. .
