Anita discusses divorce

DALLAS (UPI) - Anita
Bryant said in a recent in-
terview that she worked hard
to preserve her 20-year
marriage because divorce is
repugnant to her, but feels
she must go ahead with the
acuon.

Miss Bryant said she and
her estranged husband, Bob
Green, “sought counseling,
different kinds of counseling
from different approaches.”

She added, “I came from a
broken home and have been
so concerned about my own
famuy that divorce has not
even been in my vocabulary.
It's against everything I ever
beheved in”

Miss Bryant, in seclusion
in Selma. Ala.. told the
Dallas News, “I wanted to
save my marriage, but
because of a (recent) set of
circumstances | decided that
