As a counter-point to the
Opinions. expressed by the
Concerned Citizens
regarding the use of
Simulation matenal in the

prejudice, 1 wish to suggest
that sich a curriculum is
both useful and important in
the promotion of greater
tolerance and un-
derstanding. It would be
mindless for the board to
respond to such pressure by

withdrawing these materials
from use. ‘Perhaps a more
reasonable approach may be
to allow for student choice in ,
the pursuit of these learning
activities.

It is my feeling, as
demonstrated by the
behavior of many of the
youth of today, that ‘value
development is not being
promoted by parents and,
therefore, has now become
the responsibility of our
