EAGER crowds that
poured through the
airlock doors when the
Pacific International
Auto and Light Truck
Show opened last week
- were treated to the
widest array of new
and concept vehicles
ever assembled at BC

Place Stadium.
Vancouver seems to have

at last won scrious attention
from automakers that in the
past have often directed their
best efforts to shows in east-
ern Canada.

There are still three days
left to take in a healthy dose
of automotive excitement
under the dome, so here
goes with some more of my
highlights, spotted during a
couple of visits since last
week's preview.

Ford Motor Company is
very much a leader in the
field of aiternative fuels for
its vehicles and a large dis-

play features several enlight-
ened efforts on the environ-
mental front.”

Ford’s “Think” concept
involves various electric vehi-
cles and at BC Place you'll
be able to check out a small
plastic-bodied clectric city
car and a fascinating fair-
weather runabout that looks
