Last year, Operation Red Nose was responsible — for more than 1,600 safe rides in four B.C. communities (Abbotsford/ Mission, “345 Kamloops, Nanaimo and Prince George). “Operation Red Nose is an excellent example of a com- munity-based initiative which helps encourage motorists to fan ahead to ensure they get ome safely,” says B.C. Lion Lui Passaglia, the honourary president of the B.C. Red Nose campaign. “We encour age drivers in the communi- ties which have this service to use it.
