DRAMA/PUPPETRY assistant is wanted to work with children (ages six to £2) creating puppets and having fun with plays for children. Volunteer should have good leadership abilities, and en- joy children and arts and crafts. Hours are Tuesdays and Thurs- days, 3:15 to 4:30 p.m. Also needed is an assistant for a multi-cultural cooking class. This class teaches children how to cook and enjoy ethnic cuisine. This position would suit a_ reliable teenager. Time commitment is Wednesdays from 3:15 to 4:30 p.m., Oct. 10 to Dec. 14. PATIENT typist is needed for an elderly woman who is writing her second book and needs some- one to do her typing for her in her hospital room. Hours are flexible. TEACHER’S assistant’ with good English skills is needed for an ESL adult education class. Assistant will greet and converse with students before, during and after class. With direction and modelling from teacher, the vol- unteer will also lead small groups of individuals in oral English practice. Hours are Monday to Friday for three to four hours once per week, morning or after- noon. SPORTS minded recreation aide is needed for the Special Olympics bowling games. Aide will assist the bowling instructor and help keep score with a group of men- tally handicapped adults or teens.
