GETTING THE wast GUT OF BEDDING PLANTS
Here are a few tips that should save you time and money, and probably result
in a much improved show of colour this summer.

3. Poor soil produces poor results. A couple of bags of mushroom manure

4. The two greatest enemies of bedding plants are insects and fungus
diseases. The former are easily controlled by anumber of good products, the
best and simplest to apply of which are probably the new ready-to-use
insecticides in a plastic, trigger spray container. The Latter can be effectively
contained by applying a good quality fungicide in powder format the time of
planting.

5. A first quality fertilizer is essentia! for good results, and for flowers and
vegetables this should be 4-10-10 (8-20-20is simply double strength) or the
all purpose 6-8-6.

6. For continuous blooming, take the time to pinch off wilhering blooms
before they get a chance to produce seeds.
