Once again this year Petro- Canada will sponsor Right-Riders, a national bicycle safety program aimed at young cyclists. Endorsed by the Canadian chiefs of police, provincial safety associations, provincial ministries of education and local police forces, the 1987 Right-Riders progrant: has been expanded to include 15 local fairs and exhibitions across Canada and is expected to reach more than 250,000 children aged five to 12. CPR awareness gets promoted locally SIX MEMBERS of the Provincial Ambulance Service visited the of- fices of Computer Distribution Inc. (CDS) recently. Their visit was not an emergen- cy. They gave 25 CD{ employees demonstrations in car- dio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and in first-aid methods to assist someone who is choking. Ron Straight and Peter Evans, who led the demonstrations, pointed out that Seattle’s gov- ernment-subsidized CPR education program has achieved one of the highest levels of CPR awareness anywhere.
