In Vernon, for example, an executive home is up less than one per cent at $87,000, while a standard townhouse is 2.8 per cent higher at $36,000. in Penticton, the same townhouse is up just under two per cent to $53,000, while the bungalow category is unchanged from a year ago at $68,000. Price increases in Victoria, on the other hand, range from nine to 13.6 per cent for the various categories of housing. The executive home, for instance, is now estimated at $136,000, an increase of 11.5 per cent since last July. Resale housing values quoted in the Survey of Ca- nadian House Prices repre- sent the estimated current market value of typical homes and are compared with figures reported three months ago and a year ago.
