Responding to rumblings of discontent from members of the recently evicted health facility, Chow said he was getting fed up with complaints that the new owner did not appear to be honoring their memberships as promised. Chow said the facility’s new owner Ron Zalko had set up a rate scale designed to please as many people as possible, ‘‘but it’s not fair to expect Mr. Zalko to pick up all the Sprint member- ships without charging anything. If he did, he would go under too. Sprint memberships were sold all over the place and at all different rates, so the whole thing is very f ; complicated. ” SPRINT EVICTED Sprint was evicted from = the North Vancouver hotel March {7 by the property’s landlords ‘after falling four months behind on its $9,000 per month rent. The health club’s owner Scott Shaw has said he was misled by Lehndorff Property Management Ltd. had promised that. his facility would be allowed. to expand.. Shaw said he continued. to sell . memberships because of those assurances. But ‘Lehndorff manager for Vancouver Rob Kemp said Thursday Shaw had been given two notices of eviction, the final one being 10 days before Sprint was locked out of its Plaza premises March 17.
