Teams are gearing up

THE SCHEDULE is finally
in for the boys Provincial
Youth Soccer Cham-
pionships, and the record-
breaking five North Shore
teams are now geanng up for
the final match.

The games will take place
on the April 24 weekend at
Swangard Stadium, and
promise to be an exciting
finale to a season plagued
with bad weather and ac-
companying problems.

On Saturday, the Under 14
Lynn Valley Falcons begin
the weekend's events at 10
a.m. with a match against
Burnaby Cliff Avenue
United. After the 11:45 a.m.
Under 13 game, the Under
12 West Van Spuraways take

on North Delta United for
the championship.

The last game of the day
belongs to the Under 16
Lynn Valley Falcons, who
meet the Vancouver South
West Marine Dolphins at
2:30 p.m.

On Sunday, the Under 15

Lynn Valley Falcons lead off
at 10:30 a.m. with the
Burnaby Norburn P.C. After
the 12:15 p.m. Under 18
game, the Under 11 Lynn
Valley Falcons face the Port
Coquitlam Vikings at 2:30
p-m., ending the cham-
pionship.

termediate Recreational
Hockey League is having a
dinner and dance on
Saturday, April 17 at the
Capilano Room of the North
Vancouver Recreation
Centre.

Doors open at 6 p.m.. with
dinner at 7:30, trophy
presentations at 8 & live
music at 8:30.

Tickets are $10 each and
can be purchased in advance
from players, coaches &
managers.
