West Vancouver council
gave final adoption Monday

municipal tax increase of

10.9 per cent.
The relevent budget
bylaws passed unopposed.

Mayor Derrick Humphreys,
however, made a short
statement regarding a recent
report in a Vancouver daily
newspaper claiming that the
budget was “38 per cent”
higher than last year

This was Mcorrect,
Humphreys said The actual
municipal budget increase
over 1979 was 12 per cent
and the resultant tax in
crease 10.9 per cent.

The plan which will act as
a guide for the future
development of North
Vancouver City has finally
been made official.

City council Monday night
adopted the bylaw dealing
with the official community
plan thereby ending a
process which has been
delayed for several months
due to a number of mishaps.
