nity theatre have been spent entirely
behind the scenes.

gist is showing teens the rope

Smith is teaching the stagecraft component
of Arts On Stage, Centennial Theatre’s first-
tine summer program for children and adults.

The 65-year-old North Van resident had
just two voung charges in his first stagecraft
course, held fast week, but is hoping to boost
enrolment for the second session, which runs
Monday to Thursday, Aug. 17 to 20, 3:30 to
5:30 p.m. An all-dav session for adults is
scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15. The cost for
cach is $59.

@ Singing Just for Fun: Linda Humphries’
sessions for kids ages six to 10, Aug. 4 to 7, 10
to 11:15 a.m. and Aug. 24 to 27, 1:15 to 2:30
p.m. ($38) On those same dates, Humphries
also leads an introduction to piano session for
children ages six to 10 ($69).
@ Make-up for Theatre: Pearl Louie Icads
this one-day session tor teens, Saturday, Aug.
15, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and shares her
ticks of the trade. The $35 cost includes
course supplies.
