Microwaves adding

The District cof North Van-
couver Fire Department
warns that a new source of
scald burns to infants is
feeding them liquids or
solid foods that have been
prepared ina microwave
oven.

@ Hot quid poured into
disposable bottles may cause these
bottles 10 burst, soaking the in-
fant. Disposable bottles are not
made to withstand intense micro-
wave oven hear.

@ Microwaved food may feel cool
to the touch on the surface, only
to be scalding hot in the middle.

Camp Inglewood offer a variety

Children can enter the Twilight
Zone at Science World or get wet
at Splashdown Park.
Participants will have the option
to spend the summer speaking
French if they decide to register in
the French immersion program.
Children and youth «ho enrol
in the sports camp will have av
opportunity to test their athletic

hockey spirit alive by participating
in the Roller Blade Hockcy Camp,

or keep fit in the Bike Hockey
Camp.

In addition, instruction is avail-
able to people interested in soccer,
gymnastics, basketball, tee-ball
and softball.

Summer adventure programs
for teens and adults with special
needs include an overnight trip to

and pedal-boating at Deer Lake.

People are also invited to cele-
brate the summer by participating
in a dance or drama camp.

movement, songs and theatre
