Flu clinics held

NORTE SHORE Health is advising any residents at rish of developing
influenza-related compheations to make appointinents at an immuniza-
tion clinic.

People subject to bealth complications resulting from the flu include
those with chrome heart. lung or kidney disease: chronic medical condi-
tions such as dizbetes. cancer, anemia, immuno-deficiency or immuno-
suppression; persons over 65 years of age, and children under a doctor's
care for chronig medical conditions,

The health department is advising these at-risk people to have an in-
fluenza vaccine.

People at risk under 68 must obtain a written prescription from their
physician and bring that preseription to the clinic to receive the vaccine.

Clinics will be held on friday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 30 from
1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at North Shore Health, 283 East l4th St, North
Vancouver. Appointments must be made beforehand for immunization.
