course

LEARN HOW to trace your fami-
ly history at a program being of-
fered at Carson Graham secondary
school.

Dick Moore, who is western
Canada’s only licensed, profes-
sional genealogist, and his wife
Barbara will conduct the 20-hour
course in eight weekly evening ses-
sions starting Monday, Sept. 18.

Course content includes:
organizing your materials;
management and control of
research; effective correspondence
skills; productive research
methods; learning how to tap the
repesitories for vital, church, cen-
sus, military, immigration, and
civil records at all levels of gov-
ernment in the United Kingdom,
-Europe, Australia, Canada and the
United States. There will also be
time alloted to discuss the com-
puter and genealogy.

Pre-registration is recommended
as enrolment is limited to 25 stu-
dents per class. For further infor-

A UNIQUE service will start off
the autumn Sunday School season
at North Lonsdale United Church.
