especially pastels, . were reserved
for areas with little traffic. But
since several major manufacturers
introduced stain-resistant carpeting
this year, you can select soft
pastels for all areas of your home,
not just the less-travelled ones.

look for a plush carpet. Its velvety,
even-cut pile provides an uninter-
