preparing: for
27th telethon

cluding Ray Charles, David. Foster
and Luba will. be coining to the

27th Annual Variety Club
Telethon at the Queen Elizabeth
Theatre in Vancouver as Variety

Club presents it 1993 ‘Show of —

Hearts.”

Other guests and performers
who will donate their time and
talents during the telethon include
Jim Byrnes, Charlotte Diamond,
Paul Janz, Blake Emmons, Patty
Weaver and Dame Vera Lynn.

The event, which is a 22-hour
televised fundraiser. to benefit
B.C.’s special kids, will be broad-
cast live throughout the province
and hosted by BCTV from 8:7.m.
on Saturday,’ Feb.'13 to 6 p.m

The Variety Foundation of 3.C.
was. formed in 1989 under the
auspices: of the Variety Club of
B.C, Tent 47,

The Foundation has a mandate
to maintain the priucipal of the
funds entrusted to it and to an-
nually transfer the earnings on the
principal to the Variety Heart
Fund to be used to support Varie-
ty’s ongoing commitments to
brighten the lives of B.C.
children.

No part of the capital or inter-
est- is used for administrative
costs, which are borne by the
Variety Club. All trustees act on a
strictly volunteer basis.
