Ferry crossings

IN the North Shore News’ ongo-
ing efforts to seek out local trans-
portation solutions, the newspa-
per presents today a pair of ideas
that address two of the most vex-
ing, issues of the day: fast ferries
and the Lions Gate Bridge over-

haul.

Solution: merge

make those $450 million Pacificats
pertorm a worthwhile crossing that

will really help move people.

Rapidly nudging out the
“fast-car farce” as the No. |
comedy act of the past year
one cannot ignore — the
“Lions Gate Bridge propes-
al” as a serious contender.
