Joan and Jokn Currie
Joan and John Currie were married 30 years ago
today, June 29, in Montreal. They met in Vancouver
in a pre-ski fitness class. After a proposal from John,
who was pursuing his architectural career in
Montreal, Joan left for the east where she worked as
an RN. The two settled in North Vancouver in 1975
where they raised two daughters, Michelle and
Jennifer, ard stilf love to ski. Congratulations!

Roman and Hermine Putko were married June 28,
1947, in Austria. They immigrated to Vancouver in 1954,
where they raised three children, and have resided in
West Vancouver for the past decade. An anniversary cel-
ebration with family and friends will be held in their
daughter and son-in-law’s North Shore home. Happy
50th wedding anniversary!

Pieter and Crista Vannierop were married June 30,
1972, in Amstelveen in the Netherlands. The bride wore
a yellow and orange chiffon dress, the groom a bell-bot-
tom suit. Pieter graduated from university, married, and
together they immigrated to Canada all within a month.
They moved to B.C. in 1979, and to the North Shore in
1988. Today Pieter workes for a construction company
and Crista is a leader of the Delbrook rec centre's “Trail
Trekkers.” They have one daughter, Karen. Happy silver
wedding anniversary!

Dr. Ralph (f.J.) and Gladys (née Hannah) Munholland
were married in Moose Jaw on June 28, 1947. After raising
their five children in Cntario they retired to Sydney, 8.C.., in
1987 but recently moved to North Vancouver. The
Munhollands have 10 grandchildren. Happy 50th wedding

anniversary!
