Bara’s opened late last year in a
small Westview storefront sand-
wiched between a pizza parlor

and a videos. op — the bookends
of modern North American
culture, and, for walk-by traffic, an
excellent set of bookends to be
sandwiched hetween.

It is a small cafe with about 10
tables. Its decor features clean and
bright Japanese lines dressed in
simple black and white.

Bara’s is family-run and family-
friendly, boasting the kind of
gracious and courteous service at
which most Japanese restaurants
excel,

As would be expected, Bara’s
menu is as concise and unadorned
as the restaurant itself.

And, for all those back at head-
quarters crunching numbers and
sniffing over ledger books, there is
nothing on Bara’s menu over
