The health habit survey, which was mailed to 1,013 Harvard chinical faculty members with a 60 per cent response, found only 8 per cent of respondents smoked cigarettes and nearly 40 per cent had kicked the habit. About 33 per cent of the general public smokes. Only two per cent of the doctors regularly took sleeping pills and 78 per cent said they take time each day for breakfast. Ninety-three per cent shied away from imbibing more than two drinks.
