Candie trouble A CANDLE left burning on a resin table sparked more than romance for a North Vancouver couple when it melted their table and set fire to their sundeck. The residents of 117 East 27th St. were awakened around 1:52 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15, by their downstairs neighbor, who had heard the interconnected smoke alarm. The fire had ignited the sundeck and siding of the house. One of the residents dialled 9-1-1 while another doused the fire with water. By the time the fire depart- ment arrived, the fire had been extinguished. Damages had not been calculated to press time.
