The flat, lightweight plastic device sold millions under the name ‘‘Glow

reflecting car headlights, which is essential to cyclists. It can be used on
boats, boat docks, a set of keys, gateposts and cabin stairs, or wherever a
bright marker is required for detection in near lightless conditions.

Since 1986, the Life Lite Reflector Disc has been sold in Great Britain
at the recommendation of the Royal Society for Prevention of Accidents.
Statistics show use of the device has produced a dramatic reduction in
pedestrian accidents in Great Britain and in its country of origin, Nor-
