WALLPAPERING is easy if’ you
roll with these steps:

\ Wallpapers give you a double
advantage in solving your decora-
ting problems. You have both col-
or and pattern to choose from.

If;your rooms are small, light-
colored papers will make them
look bigger — especially if you use
cool colors like pale blue
greens in an open pattern.

bold pattern will help you. make up
for any lack of furniture
reds, oranges and browns w.

For kitchens, hallways,
bathrooms and children’ 's room p

choice. They are scrubbable,

moisture-proof and ‘grease-resis-;

tant.

Wallpapers packed in double
rolls contain about 6.5. m2 (72
sq.ft.). After allowing for waste in
matching, buttingand trimming;
' the double roll covers about 6m2
(60 sq. ft.).

Deduct 2.5m2 (about 30 sq.ft.)

for every two openings of ordinary ©

size, such as doors, windows,
closet. doors and. so on. To
estimate by square metres or feet,
measure the distance around the
room at the floor line.
7 Measure the height of the room
. from baseboard to ceiling. Multip-

gives- you the total number. of’
square feet or metres to”: be °

To figure out how many double
rolls of wallpaper you need, divide
‘this figure by the number of square
feet or metres coverage in a double
roll (6m2 or 60 sq.ft.). -Round off
any fraction to the next ‘single roll:

If you choose a wallpaper with a

try to choose a wallpaper with. an
