As the sponsors and organizers of the North Shore News Sailing Race, we expect to do a lot of work to
promote, prepare and conduct the event. All the energy and expense is totally justified on the day of the race
simply because the North Shore News Sailing Race is really a lot of fun,

This year, however, particularly because the race was postponed once, many people spent extra time,
extra energy, with extra enthusiasm, and made this eighth annual race one of the largest competitive events
for cruising sailboats in Western Canada
