THE PRESIDENT of the West Vancouver Elec-

tors Association Says

serious effort to regain some credibility lost dur-

ing th tt feréiears.

Fred Van Xpeelén Says
since the association has
been criticized for endorsing
some candidates while ignor-
ing others, that the directors
have this year decided to
leave the endorsing of can-
didates up to the general
membership.

“The practice of holding
candidate interviews, when
the candidates were called in
and interviewed solely by the
directors, has been discon-
tinued," says Van Aggelen.

later vote for the candidates
of their choice.

However, members of the
public will have a chance to
assess West Vancouver
municipal and school board
candidates at an_ all-can-
didates forum on Tuesday,
October 23, also to be held
at 7:30 p.m. in the West
Vancouver Secondary
School Theatre.

Selected questions will be
put to the candidates, who
are also expected to field
questions from the audience.
