The News survey con- ducted on Saturday, two days before the September 4 federal election was an- nounced, asked 405 people from Deep Cove to Horseshoe Bay if they would vote for Turner if he were running for election as MP. The results were then broken down by riding. The results for Capilano riding show that only 23.5 per cent of those contacted would vote for Turner while 31 per cent would not. A whopping 35 per cent were undecided and 10.5 pér cent of those contacted refused to answer By area, only Dundarave and Ambleside area respon dants favored Turner The Prime Minister fared much better in North Van couver Burnaby where 34 § per cent of those contacted said they would vote tor him Twenty-six per cent said they would not, 27 per cent. were undecided and 128 per cent refused to anawet Those favoring Turner outnumbered those against him on all North Van arcas Lower Lonsdale Delbrook Upper Lonsdale.
