have featured the Molson
Molstar program during the
winter. .

This year over’ -28,000

-recreational skiers in
western Canada have taken
part in Molstar events. The
Molstar program gives skiers
an opportunity to establish a
rating on easy giant slalom
courses. By entering events
over the ski season a skier
can compare their Molstar
ratings to see how they are
improving ‘their ski ability.
Molstar gold, silver and
bronze medals are awarded
according to performance.

Big White’ has recently
announced yet: another
super expansion. program.
This resort, «just outside
Kelowna, is nqw embarking
on a 5.9 million dollar
program which includes an
access elevator to lift skiers
from a new condominium
complex at the lower region
of the mountain village to
the upper part of the village.
A new triple chairlift will be
installed this summer on the
West Ridge of the mountain,
opening up some of the

favourite steep powder -

skiing slopes.

A condominium/hotel,
the Whitefoot Inn, complete
with teenage = recreation
room, a soaking pool - the
mogul masscuse - con-
vention rooms underground
parking for excess village
traffic, administration  of-
fices and guest reception
area is also on the drawing

boards.

The Canadian Ski In-
structors’ Alliance spring
courses will run at Big White
Village from April 20th to
May 4th, and the resort will
close for skiing this scason
on May 6th.
