ARSON ALERT program ts being phased into North Vancouver as a counter attack
on the spate of arson thaithas plagued the area in recent weeks. The Arson Alert
Squad will be making itself highly visible in an attempt to make the public conscious
of the problem and encourage people to call the arson hotline when they suspect
arson or arsonists. People are asked to call 251-1111 on the Lower Mainland and
Zenith 2222 elsewhere to report their suspicions without having to identify them-

selves. Placards will be posted at the site of all arson fires and Investigating teams will
be driving specially marked cars.
