Leigh is the novice of the group. Mitchell has recently rediscovered her craft, after a 20-year sabbatical from paint- ing. Neal entered art school when her kids were gown, eventually carning her Master of Fine Arts degree from Kansas State University last spring. Clark has exhibited her expressionist landscapes at B.C. House and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Bainbridge, who began painting in the late °20s, has been recognized for her contributions to the art world with the Order of B.C. The exhibition continues through Nov. 16. The gallery is at 1570 Argyle Ave., between the 14th Street pier and John Lawson Park. Bernadette's reopens BERNADETTP'S is back. At the end of January, the gallery and framing shop moved from the 1200-block Lonsdale, a location it had occupied for 13 and a haif years. On May 1, Bernadette’s reopened at 1321 Pemberton Ave, North Vancouver. Gallery owner Bernadette Johnson explains the three-month downtime. When the fandlord gave the gallery an easy exit from a lengthy lease, she jumped. But it took her considerable time to find a new Jocation in North Van. On Saturday, Nov. 1, the gallery hosts artist Brent Heighton, whose watercolors of coastal B.C. landscapes are illustrated in the hardcover book The Art of Brent Heighton (Terra Bella Publishers, $36).
