guilty to stealing a woman's
wailet and using a stolen Visa
card at Cash Converters on
May 23 in North Vancouver
City.

Before Judge Bill
Rodgers in North Vancouver
provincial court on June 26:

Duncan Haldane Adams,
28, of North Vancouver,
received 24 months’ proba-
tion after he pleaded guilty
to:

@ assaulting a woman on
April 12 in North Vancouver
District;

WA stealing jewelry from the
woman between March 11
and April 16.

Adams was prohibited
from possessing firearms,
ammunition or explosives for
10 years.

James Sinclair, 32, of
Surrey, was fice 60 days

probation after he pleaded
guilty to the break, enter and
theft of a business in the
1400-block of Hunter Street
on Sept. 16, 1995, in North
Vancouver City.

The jail sentence was to
be served on weekends.

Darrell Richard Markeli,
23, of North Vancouver,
received 12 months’ proba-
tion after he pleaded guilty
to stealing a man’s tools and
wallet on Aug. 19, 1995, in
North Vancouver City.

Markeli was required to
pay $400 compensation.

she pleaded guilty to breach-
ing probation by failing to
report to a probation officer
on Dec, 13, 1995.

May 21 in North Vancouver

to obtaining money by false
pretences on May 8 in North
Vancouver City.

Henwood was required to
pay $100 compensation.

probation after he pleaded
guilty te catching salmon
near the Capilano Fish
Hatchery in North
Vancouver District.

Sinclair was required to
perform 30 hours of com-
munity work service. His
fishing gear was forfeited.

Before Judge Jan Walker
in North Vancouver provin-
cial court on June 24:

Avtar Singh Sidhu, 58, of
North Vancouver, was jailed
30 days and received 24
months’ probation after he
pleaded not guilty to assault
causing bodily harm of a per-
son, but. instead pleaded
guilty to the lesser or included
offence of assault.

The original — charge
stemmed from a Sept. 6, 1995,
incident in North Vancouver
City.
