vironment, announced
recently that Cabinet has
given its approval to
negotiate five proposed
leases for more than 1,000
acres of land that will be
preserved for the use and
propagation of wildlife in
British Columbia.

Each of the 99-year leases,
to be obtained for only one
dollar, is to be negotiated
between the Ministry of
Environment and the
National Second Century
Fund, a non-profit
organization whose sole
purpose is to retain, for
future generations, lands
