Between mid-December and February, hundreds of eagles come to the area from as far away as Alaska. In 1994, Brackendale set the world record count for bald cagles, with more than 3,700 birds. It is not only the cagles that are attracted to the area: nestled berween the Tantalus and Coast Mountains, among six glacial rivers, countless Alpine lakes and a working estuary, the Squamish Valley is a mecca for outdoor enthu- siasts of all kinds. Spectacular views, abun- dant wildlife and a fascinating geological history attract A Christmas Carol in the Cove SCROOGE and Marley are coming to town. First Impressions Theatre brings Charles Dickens’ well-known fable, A Christmas Carol, to Deep Cove Shaw Theatre. The production opens Friday, Nov. 15 and runs to Nov. 30. It then moves to the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby, Dec. 4 to 14. This classic version of A Christmas Carol was EG eer OT adapted for the stage by Isracl Horovitz. Greg Anderson directs the lange cast which features Linden Banks in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge and Ryan Crocker as Jacob Marley. Performances are at 8 p.m., Nov. 15 and 16, 20 to 23 and 27 to 29. Saturday matinces, Nov. 16 and 23, are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $11 for seniors and students. The theatre is located at 4360 Gallant Ave., North Vancouver.
