EXCITING NEW SEASON BY ANNA WYMAN COMPANY Based in West Vancouver, the company has achieved an international reputation and was the first modern dance company ever to tour China in 1980. Following the Quebec tour, the company will be performing for three nights at the Queen Elizabeth Playhouse, April 15, 16 and 17. The performances will be dedicated to the Canada Council, celebrating their 25th anniversary. The dance company has received considerable financial assistance from the Council over the years, including a subsidy for the Quebec tour, and they wish to show their appreciation by the performances. In the ten years that the company has been operating professionally, they have toured both at home and abroad and have become known as an innovative and highly acclaimed group. Not only does the eight member company excite the world of dance, but the Dance Theatre has ex- panded their role to include a wide range of school tours, and instructional dance classes for children, adults and professionals. The world premiere will take place on the Company's upcoming tour with the first work being set to the music of Jean Michel Jarre’s “Oxygence.” Viewers are in for some astounding surpmises with the visual and cthereal effects of DIET CENTER _..because it’s hard to lose weight alone MAKING IT LOOK easy, Francis Nash lifts Dianne Garret during a rehearsal at the Marine Drive stadio in West Vancouver.
